Pasta with cheese and ham

3 eggs

1 cup low-fat or skim milk

3/4 cup grated parmesan

4 quarts water

2 teaspoons salt

12 ounces macaroni or shells

1 tablespoon margarine

1/2 cup lean ham, sliced into short, narrow strips

Put the eggs, milk, and Parmesan into a bowl and stir until blended.

Boil the water. When the water is boiling, add the salt and the macaroni or shells. Cook for 8 minutes or until done. Drain the pasta and set aside.

In a large skillet over low heat, melt the margarine. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook until the edgees begin to set- about 30 seconds. Add the pasta and raise the heat to medium. Stirring constantly, cook the mixture until the eggs have thickened, about 4 minutes.

Serve the pasta with the ham scattered on top.
